The vocational education and training portal
The vocationaleducation.ch portal contains comprehensive information on Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Switzerland. The VET system as a whole and important individual aspects are covered for the different target groups. In addition, a wide range of essential tools for vocational education and training practice is available.
The portal is a service provided by the SDBB in collaboration with the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation SERI.
The SDBB keeps its information for VET professionals up to date and regularly expands its range of information in printed and digital form.
Our Services
Vocational trainer ID cards are available free of charge from the cantons and accredited course providers.
The SDBB informs the contact person designated by the Cantonal Vocational Education and Training Office about the processing of orders for Vocational Education and Training Certificates (VET Certificate, VET Diploma, Federal Vocational Baccalaureate).
Learner ID Cards are available for cantonal vocational education and training offices and accredited institutions.
The host company label recognises training companies for their commitment to vocational training. The labels may only be obtained from cantonal vocational education and training offices.
In order to calculate the performance grades based on practical experience at the end of basic vocational education and training, all the grades from the respective semesters are entered on the practical experience grades sheets.
The apprenticeship contract mail merge application is used to create multiple apprenticeship contracts in one step, similar to the well-known mail merge functions in Microsoft Office applications.
