School-based VET programme

In certain cases, it is possible for learners to attend a full-time school-based VET programme instead of a dual-track VET programme. School-based VET programmes are offered by the cantons (e.g. commercial schools or IT schools).

Learners enrolled in a school-based VET programme (with the exception of pupils at trade schools) must complete work-based training during their VET programme. School-based VET programmes also lead to the issuance of a Federal VET Certificate or a Federal VET Diploma.
