One-to-one coaching

The Confederation can encourage one-to-one coaching in accordance with the Federal Vocational and Professional Education and Training Act (VPETA, SR 412.10). It is a means of supporting learners enrolled in a two-year VET programme who are encountering learning difficulties. One-to-one coaching aims to develop the young person’s personal competences in such a way that they themselves meet the demands of society, the economy and the training programme. It is also intended to enable them to develop to their full potential. One-to-one coaching also contributes to alleviating social difficulties and developing personal accountability.

The cantons decide on the type of one-to-one coaching. The Confederation contributes funding for the various measures. The cantons can also widen the number of recipients.
