VET counsellor

Depending on the canton in which they work, VET office employees who are in charge of supervision are called learning counsellors, VET commissioners or apprenticeship inspectors.

They monitor apprenticeship training, ensure that host companies meet the terms and conditions to obtain VET accreditation, ensure the quality of apprenticeship training, handle problems related to the apprenticeship contract, advise their contact persons, give legal information and play the role of mediators in the event of a conflict between the parties.
