Professional organisations (POs)

The expression “professional organisations” is a collective term used to refer to social partners, trade associations as well as other competent organisations and providers of vocational and professional education and training. Their members are either companies (legal entities) or individuals (natural persons).

Trade associations:
Trade associations establish the content of the training plan, and organise VET programmes and branch courses; they also design preparatory courses for federal examinations for tertiary level professional qualifications.

Social partners (other competent providers of vocational and professional education and training and organisations in this field):
Together with trade associations, they are also involved in the further development of vocational and professional education and training.
