Core syllabuses

Within the VET sector, there are core syllabuses that establish the training objectives to be pursued throughout the VET programme. For example, there is a Core Syllabus for Language, Communication and Society Instruction at VET schools (Core-LCS), a Core Syllabus for Physical Fitness Instruction (Core-FIT), a Core Syllabus for Preparatory Courses for the Federal Vocational Baccalaureate Examination (Core-FVB), and a Core Syllabus for Pedagogical Training of VET Professionals (Core-PTP), etc.

Within the professional education sector, professional organisations teamed up with training providers to develop and issue core syllabuses for study programmes and continuing education and training at professional education institutions (Core-PEI). These core syllabuses have been approved by the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI) and establish the learning objectives and content for study programmes lasting several years.
