Subsidies

The Federal Vocational and Professional Education and Training Act (VPETA, SR 412.10) of 2002 introduced new arrangements. Cost-based subsidies were replaced by a service-oriented lump sum system. In addition, the Confederation sets aside 10% of federal contributions to foster development projects and specific activities that serve the public interest.
