Learner’s identity card

Persons who are enrolled in a VET programme are given an identity card by the SDBB. This identity card is valid throughout Switzerland. However, certain institutions issue their own identity card. It is generally prepared by VET schools and is thus proof that the person is enrolled in a VET programme. Various businesses and institutions (e.g. cinemas, theatres, etc.) grant a discount if to holders of this identity card.
