Committees for occupation development and quality (CODQs)
Committees for occupation development and quality (CODQs) periodically adapt individual VET programmes to ensure that the content and quality of training remain relevant to actual working requirements. CODQs advise VET programme sponsors (i.e. professional organisations). CODQs lack the power to make decisions on content and strategy, so they submit proposals to the corresponding professional organisation instead. Each CODQ enables the Confederation, the cantons and the professional organisation to work together in a structured fashion. CODQs are responsible for developing the occupation and improving quality. In particular, CODQs are responsible for managing and developing:
- VET ordinances,
- training plans,
- quality management tools listed in the appendix of training plans
