Commercial school
The Vocational and Professional Education and Training Act (VPETA, SR 412.10) states that cantonal authorities may recognise commercial schools as VET providers. In order to be able to award a qualification that is recognised on a federal level, they must harmonise their subjects with the requirements of a school-based VET programme and issue a Federal VET Diploma in Commerce to learners who have successfully completed the qualification procedure. Commercial schools also have the possibility of offering preparatory courses for the Federal Vocational Baccalaureate examination.
